Compensation @ 100 per day, if your electricity meter or breakdowns are not met in time

You are entitle to be compensated if the electricity Deptt. Haryana fails to fulfill your electricity requirements. If your faulty meter or any breakdown is not being rectified in time then you are free to get sum @100 per day. The peoples are unaware about these rules. The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has fixed this in SOP (Standard of performance). These guidelines have been existing since last five years, but the Uttari Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam DHBVN) are hardly interested to highlight before the general public.

But now the Nigam has started a drive to alert the peoples about these rules. Actually these consumer friendly rules exist across the country.

We must avail this consumer friendly advantage to improve the system.
